Mountain biking
I was speeding up and down the LONG ramp. Pedals leveled. Back Straight. Bike balanced. I was racing on top of muddy soil. I pause. I look around to take a hold of the beautiful world around me. People pedaling around & the Birds were singing a lullaby, with the orchestra of cicadas joining in the chorus. The enormous pine trees loomed over me as if they were bowing to me as a greeting. Pine needles were spread across the forest floor just like a carpet with little soft acorns on top. But then
Crash! A hideous sound interrupted the silence. I sighed. Who was this person I thought. I looked around but saw nothing. Then out of the corner of my eye I saw that someone had fallen off one of the ramps! I suddenly felt empathy for whoever that was.
My hands were getting sweat on the rough handles. Then I saw It. A ramp. I started racing up the track again. Beyond me I saw my worst nightmare! (not) THE SEESAW! I start to wonder a lot of things. What gear? How fast? I start clicking my gear to gear 3. WHOOSH! I cut through the air like a jet plane that is soaring in the air. The feeling of joy rushed inside me. The warm breeze raced along my face. I landed with a Huge THUD. I saw another HUGE ramp calling me. I couldn’t stop now...
